Frequently asked questions
Please Do Not Leave an Animal Without Approval To give every animal the best chance of survival, you must receive confirmation from a staff member before using our drop-off box. Do not leave an animal in, on, or beside the drop box unless we’ve texted you and told you to do so. Animals left without authorization often suffer from heat, dehydration, predators, or delayed medical care. Many do not survive before staff discovers them.
What to do instead:
- Text us at (512) 962-3596 with photos of the animal.
- Wait for a reply from a staff member.
- Once you receive approval, place the animal in a secure, well-ventilated box with appropriate padding.
- Place the box inside the drop box (or below it if it’s too large) and lock the door behind you.
WILDLIFE ONLY. NO DOGS OR CATS.
Leaving an animal without authorization may constitute animal abandonment under Texas Penal Code Section 42.092
